DX’ing & Contesting

Since first being licensed in 1975, one of my interests in amateur radio has been DXing. For the last 11 years I’ve been able to build a competitive station and antenna system.  I enjoy operating CW mostly.                                                                                                                                                                       My current country count total is 329 and have worked at least 150 countries on 160 , 80, 40, 30, 20, 17, 15, and 10 meters.                                                                                                                                                There are several contests that I participate in each year. Usually these are casual efforts to help the contesting club I belong to, PVRC (Potomac Valley Radio Club)
